top five things i love about dhaka
Posted by Netty Gritty on July 17, 2007
1. the morning air. now this is REALLY important for me. if i feel particuarly down, all i have to do is wake up really early the next morning and get a rickshaw-ride, paid per hour, and feel the morning air. it cleans my otherwise polluted lungs and clears my mind.
2. the traffic jam, unless i am in a real hurry of course! you can observre all sorts of things while stuck in a traffic jam. bits and pieces of instant revelation of life in all its colours.
3. the fine arts istitute. it has this huge dry pond. enearthly.
4. nilkhet. amazing how they manage to get all the latest books so fast and so cheap.
5. the opportunity to enjoy life at a slow pace and enjoy it. just compare with any western city and you will know.
so what’s on YOUR top five list?
do share!
